Anyone deserves to achieve a healthier version of themselves. And in order to do that, you need to make some changes in your lifestyle.

Take note of these health tips by the acclaimed actress Georgie Parker.

1. “Eat a well-balanced diet”

With so many fast food options, it’s easy to get out of balance with what we’re eating, which can play havoc with your digestion. It’s important to eat a balanced diet and look after your gut health by having good quality probiotics. I have been eating Activia yoghurt which has an exclusive strain of probiotic that is scientifically proven to improve digestive comfort and bloating.

For me, beating the bloat is important because it’s about feeling comfortable and confident. Being bloated is frustrating and uncomfortable because you feel full but you’re not actually full at all. So, I’m involved in this campaign because I want to show women how easy it is to get on top of digestive issues, so they can regain some control and start to feel good which will help them feel more confident.

2. “Treat yourself”

Make sure to not be too strict. If you don’t treat yourself, it becomes a fascination and an obsession.

3. “Whatever you eat, try and sit down and enjoy it, and try and eat with friends and family”

Eat slower – it makes a huge difference when it comes to bloating and digestion. Sometimes if you eat too fast you can overeat particularly if you wait until you’re really hungry – this is when I tend to overeat!

I’m really busy, like all of us, and I often eat in the car, which is not ideal. So now I am making sure I slow down when I’m eating and I’m more mindful of sitting down when I eat, whether this is on my own or sharing a meal with my friends and family.

I also love having a healthy snack like Activia yoghurt or fruit or nuts between meals or while I’m watching TV (in my rare downtime!)

4. “Stay active”

Move it or lose it – but be reasonable, you don’t need to do what you were doing at 16. Don’t focus on what you can’t do, focus on what you can do. I have been very active throughout my life, but since my hip surgery, I have been going through the recovery process, so I see my physio regularly and keep my body moving with things like swimming, yoga, and Pilates.

5. “Laugh at least 6 times a day”

I definitely tick this box because I find myself hysterical! I have a lot of energy, which is a plus for me but can be exhausting for the people I work with. I am only joking, they do love it because it helps the day go. It helps because twelve hours in a studio can be like jet lag, so it’s good to make sure you’re bouncing off the walls and enjoying life.
