Today’s world is filled with new and exciting technology that has provided us with a never-before-seen quality of life. However, as we progress into the modern age, we’ve lost some things along the way— such as a connection to nature.

Chemicals are now everywhere. They can be found in our food, what we drink, the drugs we use, and even the air we breathe. A chemically-driven world is not a healthy place to live in, mainly because it can cause many health problems. The chemicals surrounding us have unconsciously driven many people away from natural herbs—which are more beneficial than conventional drugs.

Natural herbs that aren’t chemically processed or grown i.e (certified organic) will assist us to live a much healthier life. Let’s take a look at the importance of natural herbs in your daily life.

Let’s All Go Back to the Roots

The use of natural substances is not new. Humans have been using plant-based medicines since ancient times. Ancient Egyptians used Mandrake root as a painkiller while Mayans chewed Coca leaves for relief from altitude sickness.

It’s time to go back to our roots. Away from the chemically-driven world that has done more harm than good, and towards a more natural way of living. A healthier life is indeed possible with herbs.

Many of us have been taught that herbs are a relic from the past, and drugs are the only medicine we need. But this is farther from the truth. In a world where our bodies are being bombarded with chemicals, it is vital to take back control by healing naturally with herbs.

The Relevance of Herbs

The benefits of herbs in a chemical-driven world can not only be felt on one’s physical health but also on one’s mental health.

Natural herbs have been used for centuries to heal many ailments of the body. They have also been used to prevent illness and maintain good overall health.

Natural remedies can make us healthier, by detoxing, clearing the mind, supporting the body, and uplifting the soul. When Earth was first created, everything we possibly could and would need was developed.

An Easier Menopause

The benefits of herbs can be seen through ancient teas. Ancient Chinese medicine has long used Chrysanthemum flowers to treat headaches and cure muscle pain. Still, it wasn’t until later that researchers found the active compounds within these leaves could also help with menopause symptoms such as anxiety and mood swings.

Elissa Scott, the founder of The T Lady, produced a Menopause Tea— a combination of 5 recommended herbs for menopause cultivated into a tea that offers the best natural alternative to alleviate the effects of peri-menopause, menopause, and post-menopause stages, and agrees that herbs are of more beneficial to use. Being someone who has gone through the pain, inconveniences, and socio-emotional effects of menopause, these experiences led Elissa Scott to discover Menopause Tea for hot flashes, sleepless nights, period cramps, and joint pains.

Medicinal Herbs

Recently, humans diagnosed with certain types of cancers have been turning towards herbal remedies to counteract their side effects. Various plant extracts have been found to have anti-cancer effects, such as Vincristine from the Periwinkle plant, and Taxanes from the bark of the Pacific Yew tree.

Herbal medicines such as Medicinal cannabis can be used to stimulate appetites, weight gain, manage nausea, vomiting, and pain. Also, the Menopause Tea can help to alleviate hot flushes and assist with sleepless nights in women with breast cancer.

Chinese herbs have been scientifically evaluated for how well they work for people with cancer. Studies have found benefits for some herbs, such as American ginseng for cancer-related fatigue. However, evidence shows they should still be used in addition to conventional therapies.

The Bottom Line

The benefits of herbs in a chemically-driven world are numerous. Still, the most important thing you should remember is that it’s always best to consult your doctor before taking any supplements or changing your current medications. Consult with a healthcare professional if you have questions about how herbal remedies could affect your current treatments.
