If your fitness routine needs a little pup-grade, you’re in luck – because Decathlon has just unleashed a fur-tastically fun way to get fit. (Or at least try). To coincide with World Pilates Day on May the 5th, this month, the sportswear giant opened its very first Aussie fitness studio in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. And to celebrate, they’re rolling out the yoga mats an inviting you to downward dog … with an actual dog!

Decathlon’s brand-new 220 sqm Wynyard studio will host special Doga (doggy + yoga) sessions on Saturday 17th May at 10am and 12pm, with tickets going live on Eventbrite from 9th May for just $25. Best of all? Every cent goes to the RSPCA. Because nothing says “namaste” like doing good while getting your core in shape – with a puppy on your mat.

Alongside Puppy Pilates, the rise of Doga has been making waves around the world, with pet lovers and fitness fans alike embracing the chance to stretch, strengthen, and snuggle all at once. From Hong Kong to the Harbour City, these classes are more than just a cute photo op. Science backs their benefits, which include reducing cortisol levels, improving flexibility, and enhancing emotional bonding between humans and their pets. Dogs thrive on touch and attention, and humans? Well, we benefit from the calming presence of our furry friends – especially when combined with mindful movement and breathwork. It’s no wonder Doga is fetching such a loyal following.

But, that’s not all in Decathlon’s bag of tricks. Throughout May, the Wynyard studio is also serving up a smorgasbord of budget-friendly fitness classes that’ll get tails wagging. think complimentary Lagree Microformer sessions every Thursday, rejuvenating yoga every Tuesday, and both mat and reformer Pilates sprinkled throughout the week. Prices start at just $15, proving once again that you don’t need to pay a paw and a leg to break a sweat.

“We’re not chasing the glossy, high-end studio crowd,” says Paul Montoy Soler, Area Manager Connect Stores at Decathlon Australia. “We just want to make movement more accessible. Whether you’re a total newbie or a seasoned gym junkie.”

In even more pup-tacular news, Decathlon is also debuting a brand-new pet range later this month. Think plush doggy bathrobes, sporty leashes and collars, fitness-friendly mats, and travel bowls for the active pooch on the go. So now your dog can match your energy and your aesthetic.

If you want to secure your spot at any of the fitness classes, be quick. They’re bound to sell out faster than you can say “fetch.” Head to Decathlon’s Eventbrite page to snag your tickets.

Because at the end of the day, who needs a six-pack when you can have six pups?
