How I Stay Fit, Focused, and Healthy
Plan your workouts ahead
“I hate the feeling of missing a training session,” says Amy. “Exercise puts me in a great mood and clears my head, so I make it a priority. Every Sunday, I schedule my workouts for the week ahead and treat them like unmissable meetings — no cancellations allowed!”
Visualise your goals daily
Amy keeps her targets front and centre — literally. “I have marks on my bedroom wall at 1.9 metres and 2.10 metres to remind me what I’m working towards. I focus on one goal at a time so I can give it my full attention.”
Prioritise sleep
“Sleep is crucial for health and fitness,” she explains. “My days can be long, with early morning training, shoots during the day, and evening sessions. I take 20-minute power naps whenever I can and always make time for a proper night’s sleep to recover fully.”
Eat to nourish your body
As an athlete, Amy fuels her body with wholesome, fresh food. “I don’t focus on calories or strict measurements. It’s about moderation and balance. Protein is a must at every meal, and I love adding quinoa, cauliflower, sweet potato, and broccoli to my salads. Of course, I still enjoy chocolate and pasta — just in moderation!”
Wear the right activewear
“Comfort is key when training hard,” Amy says. “Investing in quality gear makes a huge difference. I’m loving Champion’s new Absolute Sports Bra and Fusion Tights — when you look good, you feel good!”
Find your balance
“For me, training comes first, work comes second, and everything else fits in between,” she explains. “I make sure to keep Saturday afternoons and Sundays free to relax and enjoy time with friends and family. Balance is everything.”
