Mid‑2025 and the fitness scene is evolving fast. From Pilates mornings to run club evenings, here’s how experts say we’ll move, sweat, and thrive for the rest of the year.

While the year began with many of us contorting ourselves into pretzel-like poses for Pilates, by mid-2025, run clubs and group fitness sessions are taking over—proving that fitness fads may come and go, but our desire to move is here to stay. So, how will we sweat, strengthen, and thrive over the next 12 months? According to The Yard Gym’s performance leader, Jenna Louise, these five trends are set to redefine the way we work out the rest of the year.

1. Strength Training for Longevity
It’s no longer just for bodybuilders. Stronger muscles and bones boost metabolism, reduce injury risk, and improve mental well-being. Lift, squat, carry—everyday strength counts.

2. Functional Fitness
Move the way life moves you. Bodyweight and hybrid workouts mimic daily tasks, building strength, endurance, and “movement literacy” so you’re ready for anything.

3. Community Workouts
Solo sessions are out. Group classes, run clubs, and social fitness turn workouts into connection, motivation, and shared wins.

4. Time-Efficient Training
Short, high-impact sessions—40‑50 minutes—combine strength, HIIT, and functional moves for maximum results in minimal time.

5. Recovery as a Priority
Rest isn’t optional. Meditation, stretching, and quality sleep help your body—and mind—thrive, making recovery as important as the workout itself.

Fitness in 2025 is about moving smarter, connecting with others, and caring for your whole self.
